The incursions in Null Sec pay much more and shouldn't be any trouble to do. Not to mention there's Infrastructure Upgrades for just about everything. Null Sec has the best planets for PI, the best type of Asteroids, the best exploration sites and easy access to Trade Hubs to sell items.
The reason Null Sec has all these gangs roaming around with no targets is due to it being mostly BLUE. That's a problem created by internal politics, not High Sec Incursions. Since there's all these gangs looking for stuff to do, set up some PvE incursion fleets with some PvP escort fleets and go do the Low Sec incursions. It should be easy to occupy those incursion areas plus might get lucky and get some PvP action.
You want more mining Industrialists in Null, make some deals with Empire Industrial Corps, provide protection and escort for a percentage.
Basically what I see here is another thread saying 'We want easy targets to kill' and 'We want to control all in-game ISK'.
You've centered on one peripheral argument from my post, as if it's the entire issue. It isn't. I've actually stated that incursions are valuable and interesting events or should be, just that they shouldn't be farmable to the degree it is. Farming 70-100 mill per hour, or higher should not be possible in empire high sec. When that's possible on a regular basis, there's little need to move out to null sec and accept the increased risk there to mine for 20-30 mill an hour, or less. Which would you choose? Something tells me you probably already operate personally in one of these from the sounds of things, and I suspect that's guiding what you're saying here out of personal interest rather than discussing what really is best for the game as a whole. I could go to empire and make money like this quite easily if I wanted, but I think gearing the game towards improved gameplay for the masses in general is a better idea.
As to your comment. Yes, the large blue coalitions do have an effect on roaming targets. I don't deny that. But neither are they the only issue causing problems for small roaming gangs looking for targets, or indeed roaming pvp in general.
My post was actually more on the lines of 'I'd like less elite blocks controlling such large proportions of ingame income sources causing the game to stagnate'. You've missed a number of my points. I was speaking from the perspective of a player that has watched eve develop over the course of the last 6 years plus and wants to point out how various of those evolutions have been toward a direction that isn't helping the game as much as it could. This is not a 'nerf incursion' thread.
Miners will not move to null sec in the numbers I'm discussing without the incentives being there, which currently aren't in adequate strength. The game has shifted professions powerfully away from that industry simply by the way it has developed in recent years. It's very much a case of perceiving the game's ecosystem for want of a better term, and the reasons behind why people operate the way they do.
Moons are more of an issue here. And lastly. I happen to think high sec exploration, PI, wormholes and all the rest are actually rather well balanced at present. So no, my peripheral point on incursions is not intended to snowball to other professions.
